Department of Foreign Affairs issued on Tuesday the first ePassport with Serial number of EA0000001to President Macapagal Arroyo, who graced the launching of the state-of-the-art passport during the department’s 111th founding celebration.
Today more than 60 countries now use the ePassport. This passport contains tamper-proof electronic microchip enhanced with a hidden encoded image, an ultra-thin holographic laminate.
Philippines new Epassport costs Php 950 and available in Department of Foreign Affairs office in Pasay City.
